Employee and Building Expansion

We’ve Expanded to Better Serve You!

When you need fast solutions, we need to move with speed. That’s the driving force behind our vertical-integration strategy and the ultimate goal of our recent expansion. Because we design and manufacture the majority of our materials in-house across our product lines, we’re able to quickly deliver solutions designed to meet your exacting needs.

That’s at the heart of our continuing investment in growth and our recent expansion of our lobby level to help us prepare for future manufacturing needs while better serving today’s. It also gives us the space we need to create an inviting atmosphere for our visitors, with a new dedicated lobby entrance for our customers and a revamped interior to greet you when arrive to discuss your challenges and needs.

Beyond the lobby itself, our expansion has also given us the space we need to meet the needs of our current employees while making room for future hires. Sensor Networks, Inc. originally occupied around two-thirds of the available space in our facility – space that we quickly consumed as we expanded our production capabilities and grew our team.

As we prioritized investing in one of the crown jewels of our vertical integration strategy, our machine shop, it quickly became clear that we needed more space to support the number of people we already have. After COVID, we also were faced with the challenge of increasing distancing to meet safety guidelines in addition to making room for new CNC CAD/CAM equipment and machine operators.

We currently haves 12 full-time and one part-time machinists, including eight CNC operators running three CNC machines over three shifts. We also have a full ceramic shop capable of fabricating any linear, matrix or annular array that’s staffed by two full-time employees. SNI’s machine shop is co-located with the design, applications engineering, production and QC teams at 366 Walker Drive in State College.

Meet Our Newest Team Members

Our lobby isn’t the only exciting expansion. We also have four new members of the SNI family, each of whom add unique experience and expertise to the mix. Get to know them better here:

He began his career with General Electric in the Lighting Division and in 1984 transferred to the Aircraft Engine Division in Cincinnati, Oh. He received his MS in Industrial Engineering in 1986 from the University of Cincinnati.
